Lights Off took 2nd place in the C4 Iron Coder competition behind the Video Conferencing application for the iPhone.
As a native application, you must download the package and install it using existing “jailbreak” tools to gain access to the iPhone’s file system. Installation instructions are provided.
Lights Off was developed completely with Apple’s UIKit development framework, the same used to make iPhone’s built-in applications such as Maps and YouTube. It leverages the community-built tools that have been developed with the absence of an official iPhone SDK.

Atlas, a faster Nintendo emulator has come to fruition. This application allows iPhone owners to play classic 8-bit NES games on Apple iPhone, and this new version adds sound and much more. The iPhone NES emulator comes with many popular games including Mario Bros, MegaMan, and Metroid.
You can download the iPhone NES Emulator here: iPhone-nes-emulator
ROMs need to be placed in /var/root/Media/ROMs/NES.
NOTE ON iPhone NES Emulator Sound; it is required that you disable mediaserverd, and only works through the headphones. A couple of easy aliases can be added to your .profile to disable or re-enable mediaserverd if you are using MobileShell:
alias nosound=”launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/coreaudiod.plist”
alias sound=”launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/coreaudiod.plist”
